Thanks to the success of our first Politifest last year, Voice of San Diego is thrilled to announce that we�ll be hosting the event again this year on Saturday, September 29.

We created Politifest to provide a fun, family-friendly event where San Diegans can learn about issues that impact our community. This festival gives people the opportunity to hear from leading mayoral candidates, local civic groups, amazing nonprofits and fellow citizens with great ideas.

In our inaugural year, more than 100 community organizations and more than 1,200 people participated in the event. We expect an even bigger turnout in this exciting election year.

Once again, we�ll host a Lincoln-Douglas style debate with the top two candidates vying to be San Diego�s next mayor. We�ll also host an idea tournament and provide a �soap box� tent where local groups can pitch their causes and initiatives.
